Coat and Colors
The color and feel that makes them SO cute.
Every Bernedoodles’ coat is a little different and there is no guarantee that it will be 100% hypoallergenic or non-shedding. Since most do not shed at all or very little, it is necessary to brush them regularly to remove dead or dying hair and to prevent matting.
Common colors for Bernedoodles are Bi- and Tri-Color.
Health
The overall condition of the dog breed.
By nature, a first generation hybrid cross offspring(f1) will grow healthier and live longer than either parent line. However, that offspring can be prone to any genetic diseases shared by both the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle – this is called hybrid vigor.
At Arizona Goldendoodles we test for all of the health concerns (via the Embark DNA panel) that might be passed down from the parents prior to breeding and throughout the breeding process. If a concern arises on any test, we retire the dog in question to a great forever home.
